Streets of Gold

Many people pray for wealth and power
or for long life and enemy’s cower.

To have total control over their life.
To live as they please without any strife.

Such a life is in many people’s dreams,
But is it such a blessing as it seems?

Is it better to have rewards today,
if the price is throwing heaven away?

For Life eternal with God’s our Goal
So what’s vital is the fate of our soul.

O Lord my God whom I praise and extol
